Sample Shares

• Sample Shares are virtual events where BSoBR purchases different bottles of whiskey from a chosen distillery and then samples them out into 1 oz sample bottles. Members purchase the samples and we host Zoom tastings with representatives from the distillery. It gives members an opportunity to hear and taste from distillers from all around the world. The number of samples may range from 2 to 5 (sometimes even more) depending on availability. We started Sample Shares because of Covid and have continued to do them because they have been so successful. We try to Zoom with a different distillery twice a month. We will always announce the next set of samples a few days out and put the sets for sale on our website via www.bourbonbr.com/store. They tend to go fast so I always recommend that you order them quickly when they go "live". Sometimes they sell out within an hour so do not sleep on them.

Barrel Picks

• Barrel picks are when we (in conjunction with a retail partner) purchase an entire barrel of whiskey at once from a distiller. BSoBR receives samples (or goes to Kentucky to sample). To select a barrel a group of representatives from BSoBR chooses the best from the samples provided. This is probably the most popular thing that we do. We work with our different retail partners and release them to BSoBR members throughout the year. After selection, it takes a few months for the distributor to send the barrel to us.

• To reserve the bottle, all you do is fill out the form. The sign up form is distributed via our private Facebook group and on Discord. Generally, the barrel will then be released within a week or two of the sign-up sheet. We will email and post on social media when the barrel is ready. You will have to go to our partner retailer that we have secured the barrel from and you have 3 weeks from the time it has been released to snag it. We allow for extenuating circumstances on occasion but we ask that you really try and pick it up within that 3-week window.

Charity Raffles

• Charity raffles are something that we are incredibly proud of. We generally sell tickets at $10/each and then the winner will get one of several different bottles of whiskey. We have raised over $220,000 for various charities over the last two years with our different raffles.
